Yas Island is a man-made island in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Yas Island can be reached by car, plane or boat. The island was developed with the aim of turning the island into a multi-purpose leisure, shopping and entertainment center at an estimated total cost of over $40 billion.
It occupies a total land area of 2,500 hectares, of which 1,700 hectares will be claimed for development. Both business and leisure travelers visit Yas Island. Yas Island was named the world’s leading tourism project at the World Travel Awards in November 2009.
The island holds the Yas Island Circuit, which hosts the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009. It will also feature attractions such as Warner Bros. Movie World, a movie theme park by Warner Bros, Ferrari World, an array of hotels, featuring the Yas Viceroy Hotel, a water park, and Yas Mall, the Abu Dhabi destination retail development of 300,000 sq m retail area; golf links and parkland golf courses, lagoon hotels, marinas, polo clubs, apartments, villas and food and beverage outlets that will create a fabulous tourist destination.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi: the world’s first Ferrari-branded theme park. The park tells the Ferrari story with passion and excitement through more than 20 exhilarating and educational rides and attractions, interactive shopping and authentic Italian dining experiences.
Yas Marina Circuit: host to the annual F1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The full circuit length is 5.554 km and can be configured in five different ways to accommodate a variety of motorsport events. It is the only motorsports venue in the world that offers covered and shaded grandstands throughout the facility, coupled with unique pit lanes that run partially beneath the track.
Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi: is a five star hotel located on the Yas Marina and is the first hotel in world to be built over an F1 race circuit.
Yas Waterworld: spans an area of around 15 football pitches, with 43 rides, slides & attractions – five of which are one-of-a-kind.
Yas Links Abu Dhabi: an award-winning golf course, designed by Kyle Phillips, one of the world’s leading golf course architects. Yas Links features a 7,450 yard par 72 course, utilising five teeing grounds per hole, with all 18 benefiting from ocean views. Recently Yas Links has also been named one of the world’s top 25 by influential US magazine, Golf Digest.
