Headed by eng. Marwn bin Ghalitah, Football affairs commission had an announcement on the preparatory program for national teams of the UAE : Al Awwal, Alshabab and Alnashein team last Monday . Their first meeting was held last Monday, with the presence of Eng. Mahdi Ali, coach of Al Awwal team.

Secretary General of the Football Affairs Commission, Mohammed bin Hazzam Al Dhaheri, said in the press conference that the commission seeks to provide all the needs for Al Awwal team in the coming period, and that the kickoff will be in the internal preparatory camp that the team will be holding in the period from May 16th till the travel date later this month to participate in friendly competition on The King’s Cup in Thailand.

In addition, Al Dhaheri declared that the football affairs commission discussed a number of essential topics such as reviewing the agenda of the next sports season and the preparatory camp for al Awal team in order for the team to be prepared for The 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification in Russia, where the World Cup qualification starts its first confrontations with his Japanese team in the Japanese capital Tokyo on the first of next September.

He added: “The Committee recommended sending  a letter to the Professional League Committee, regarding the beginning of the sports season 2016/2017.

The letter included the notes the committee reached after long discussions to provide the best ways for the team to be properly prepared for the competition. The most important way was through external campsites”.

In this context, team coach Mahdi Ali and team manager Mutraf Al Shamsi will be leaving next Wednesday in a European tour around Italy, Spain, Austria and Portugal preview the best environments to suits the needs of the team in the coming period.

The best environment will be selected for the external camp which will last for a whole month from 10th July until 10th August.

During the meeting, Al Dhaheri pointed out that the Committee adopted the preparatory programs of Alshabab and Alnashein teams for the coming official participation in AFC U-16 Championship in September 2016 in India (to be qualified for the U-17 World Cup 2017), and the AFC Asian U-19 Championship in Bahrain 2016 (to be qualified for the U-20 World Cup 2017 ).
