Al Wasl Properties commissioned an art project at Street 18B in Karama, with the help of eight street artists to give the area, which borders Bur Dubai and Oud Metha, a facelift by painting 24 murals on the side of 12 apartment buildings and shops around the Karama shopping complex.
Each piece with a diverse style, theme and subject matter. Such as; animal heads: an open mouthed shark, a tiger, a lion, and some winged creatures: a parrot and a falcon. There are some quirky 3D elements, too. Like on a three-storey building, there’s a ship riding the waves, and the ship is painted on a 3D extension of the wall.
