Kyo is a new Japanese restaurant opened on Palm Jumeirah’s Golden Mile. Kyo translates to both “today” and “entertainment” in Japanese, and that is exactly what this chic new eatery offers. It is a place where great company and talk-of-the-town food combine to provide an unforgettable dining experience.
This ultra-stylish restaurant boasts both indoor seating, arranged in a social and contemporary design, and an impressive outdoor lounge, with reserved sections for private gatherings. The ambiance is suave and chic, and takes on the charm of Japanese architecture with a modern-age twist.
The menu at Kyo is creative and varied, starters include foie gras, shiitake gyoza, and pumpkin tofu, while some of the main courses available are crispy marinated black cod and braised veal short ribs. The lounge menu boasts teppanyaki-style dishes, sushi and fun desserts like milk chocolate gyoza, sweet nigiri and azuki ice-cream.
There is temperature-controlled outdoor terrace, featuring teppanyaki stations and shisha with Japanese-inspired flavours such as lemongrass, ginger or yuzu. If not, they have the regular ones like double apple, grape, strawberry, sweet melon and even cherry.
