Located within the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai Rang Mahal by Atul Kochhar fuses a touch of tradition with contemporary flair; creating a feast for the senses and inspiring your mind.
Atul Kochhar is the founder and head chef of London’s famous Benares restaurant. Atul is also an International celebrity chef, television star and author of three bestselling cookbooks. He creates Indian cuisine with contemporary styles and cutting-edge techniques, always using the freshest locally sourced foods. From hearty starters of lamb masala to gigantic shrimps dipped in Goan curry, Rang Mahal guarantees an authentic and flavoursome adventure.
Rang Mahal restaurant is also known as a “palace of pleasure” from the décor to the dishes that are served. The Indian restaurant includes two parts; the first is a vast bar whose seductive lighting, red walls with black latticework, private alcoves with plush velvet sofas, plump cushions and dark lacquered floor all combine to create a pseudo Indian boudoir experience.
The second part is the restaurant, which is airy and bright in contrast. With a nod to the Rajasthan culture that inspired the restaurant, the interior contains Indian memorabilia including carved stone pillars, statues of deities, and murals depicting local dancers. A chef’s table at the food of the kitchen also allows guests to see how the authentic cuisine is prepared.
