Kim and Vaughn Tucci from Perth, Western Australia, gave birth to healthy quintuplets at King Edward Memorial Hospital, in January this year, a team of 50 doctors and nurses assisted with the planned caesarean and all of the children were born healthy.
Kim said that doctors originally offered her the choice of saving two of the babies while terminating the others, because of serious health risks to both her and the unborn children. 26 year old Kim Tucci, gave birth to four healthy girls and a boy in only two minutes.
It is not every day that quintuplets are born, the chance of conceiving quintuplets naturally is about one in 55 million.
The proud mum has recently shared their first family photoshoot, photographer Erin Elizabeth helped document Mrs Tucci’s pregnancy, and organized the quintuplets’ photo shoot.
“50 fingers 50 toes, 6 hearts beating at once. My body fought the toughest of battles to get five babies here safely,” Mrs Tucci, wrote when she posted the photos.
The images became a hit on Ms Tucci’s website and Ms Elizabeth’s social media.
Kim and Vaughn already have three children aged 9, 4 and 2, A Go Fund Me page has been started to help the Tuccis buy a nine seater car so they can safely get out and about as a family.
