“Dubai Garden Glow” is considered the first glowing garden in the UAE. It includes models for forest animals such as giraffes, tigers and many others. It also has scale model of Burj Khalifa and another to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
According to Reuters, the total cost of the park that took more than two months to be completed, is about eight million dollars, and it uses about four million lamps for its designs.
Director General of Dubai Municipality Hussain Lootah, said that “This distinctive garden is the first of its kind in the area”, he added: “we made sure to include different combinations of colors and creative designs to attract visitors, using lamps at the formations on the floors, trees, animals and different designs”.
Most of the designs at the garden are manually built by about 150 Chinese artists, who were specially brought to Dubai for constructing the park. Officials of the park say that materials used in the construction are all recycled and environmentally friendly. For example, The scale model of Burj Khalifa used about 360 thousand recycled bottle, and were erected at a height of 16 meters; 90 thousand recycled cups and dishes were used in the construction of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque scale model, and were erected at a height of 14 meters.
Mr. Lootah said that The Garden Glow park is committed to Dubai vision to achieve leadership in the entertainment and leisure sector by providing more recreational and entertainment facilities to attract both residents and tourists.
