Emirates recently announced a minimal charge will be applicable to those passengers who will book a certain category of seats in the Economy Class, for tickets issued on or after October 3, 2016.
The airline spokesman said that Emirates can confirm the introduction of a minimal charge is only applicable on Special and Saver fares in Economy Class and will vary depending on the duration of the flight.
The airline also confirmed that this charge is also not applicable once online check-in opens, which is 48 hours before flight departure. There will be no charge for advance seat selection for Economy Class Flex, Economy Class Flex Plus, Business Class and First Class fares.
