Royal Biryani restaurant located at Al Seef Village Mall in Abu Dhabi, is one of the best in town. The 2,000-square-foot restaurant focuses on Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist.
It’s no news that Indians love spicy food. But the head chef of the newly opened Indian restaurant, Royal Biryani, aims to change that culinary perception.
“There is a general notion that Indian cuisine has to be spicy to be tasty. At Royal Biryani, we have not allowed spice to overpower other flavours,” said Girish Chandra.
The traditional menu has been replaced with flash cards that have pictures of each dish and a small description on the other side of the card. The menu features more than 20 different biryanis and curries and a list of mains that includes Punjabi chicken tikka and drumsticks stuffed with minced chicken, cheese and raisins served with saffron mashed potatoes. Starters include lamb dumplings, corn-coated crunchy fish and kidney bean bites. They also have daily lunch-box specials. For dessert, try the apricot stew – a Mughal stew made with dried apricots and almonds.
