Nathan Outlaw at Al Mahara is a new restaurant opened at the Burj Al Arab, it’s masterminded by the multi award-winning chef Nathan Outlaw. Al Mahara translates to “The Oyster Shell” in Arabic and is known for its floor-to-ceiling aquarium.
The three-time Michelin-starred chef brings his style of simple seafood cooking and relaxed hospitality to Burj Al Arab, Nathan, along with head chef Pete Biggs, has produced a restaurant that delivers top quality, simple dishes, packed with delicious and complex flavour combinations.
The floor-to-ceiling aquarium walls inside the only seven star hotel in the world sounds as stereotypically high-end Dubai as it gets, but it’s the mix of simple yet stunningly good seafood and a fun, down-to-earth atmosphere that really bag this recently-renovated Burj Al Arab seafood gem its gourmet stripes.
The menu at Nathan Outlaw at Al Mahara features dishes like Lobster Risotto, Crispy Cooked Oysters with Caviar, Raw Scallops and Citrus Cured Brill.
Particularly British in style, the dessert menu includes a unique Sticky Toffee Pudding which is his 11 year old daughter’s recipe. Each dish on the dessert menu has the ‘Outlaw’ twist” and is served with lots of theatre.
