Describe as a “classical retreat” with amazing sea views, Bayt Al Wakeel, is one of the attractions that both residents and tourists like in the heart of old Dubai. It is a unique place to relax, have a meal and catch up with friends.
Try one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, such as Wakeel Special Mixed Grill, Wakeel Special Sea Food Platter, Turkish Salmon Grilled, and Thai Seafood Salad;, while you enjoy the historic ambience of the place. You may choose to relax on the jetty overlooking the busy creek, watching Abras “kind of boats” break the sea carrying passengers across Dubai.
Bayt Al Wakeel was originally built by Iranian mason Saji Mohd Kukhardi in 1935. It was originally built as a shipping office from gatch, a form of mud that was brought from the top of Dubai Creek.
