For working parents who are looking for an after-school spot for their kids, which is both safe and educational, Al Jalila Cultural Centre For Children (AJCCC) is a reputed centre dedicated for young minds so as to discover their creativity through numerous activities and camps.
AJCCC Centre aims to bring awareness to children from 4-16 years old and increase their understanding of their surroudings, nuture their creativity and future aspirations, to provide a grounded sense of connection eith the Emirati cultural heritage.
The Centre provides a safe, joyous and creative environment in a spacious building on Al Wasl Road with bright and colourful interiors, the well-equipped centre is focused to assist kids excel and develop a stronger understanding of the Emirati culture, and to apply it through arts and crafts, theatre and multimedia.
Along with child-friendly activities, Al Jalila also offers a handful of adult learning courses including theatre production and scenography, pottery making, and TV/radio presenting.
With many different programmes to offer, kids can attend think drawing classes, colour studies, music, robotics and martial arts. At Al Jalila Cultural Centre For Children The staff is passionate and very knowledgeable in their respective fields. The centre even has its own medical room with a trained Mediclinic nurse on shift.
Kids can learn Silk Screen Printing: the 6-week course has children understand a number of techniques and concepts of silk screening. Basic Drawing For Beginners is about the primary process of interpreting in 2 dimensions objects of 3 dimensional qualities observed by the human eye.
Colour Study allows kids to create a visual expression with its own independent vocabulary. Music classes offer learning musical instruments that is enjoyed by the kids. This experience develops the child’s musical skills and improves left-right brain functions in addition to visual, auditory and kinaesthetic (physical activities) learning styles.
Robotics at Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children delivers three Robotics workshops for children of different age groups. It is an exciting method to learn science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Martial Arts is also offered at Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children with Kung Fu courses for children. Happy Hands is for sculpting and ceremics, this course is for children to learn ways to build three-dimensional shapes using mud slides and mud ropes. Working the Wheel is also added in the course for children to learn the right skills that will enable them to work on the pottery wheel like professionals.
