Sharjah is the UAE’s third largest city with the greatest number of population, and it hosts the great University of Sharjah. The headquarters of the university is located in the heart of University in Shrjah, a few kilometers from the shores of the Arabian Gulf,15-minutes’ drive from the Dubai, and about two hours’ drive to Abu Dhabi.

Colleges and Programs:
University of Sharjah has 14 faculties and offers more than 85 academic programs in bachelor, diploma, master’s and PhD, including:
*Sharia and Islamic Studies
*Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
*Fine Arts and Design
Collage of Graduate Studies offers 17 Master’s program and 7 PhD’s programs, which are recognized worldwide , and accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Admission Requirements :
Candidates must have completed at least 12 years of schooling before joining the university, in which candidates who have a degree from UAE, should be graduated from a licensed and recognized school by the Ministry of Education of the UAE, while candidates who have a degree from another country, should be graduated from a licensed and recognized school by the Ministry of Education of that country.
The date of obtaining the high school certificate should not be of more than three years when applying to the University- except for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry where the high school certificate should not be obtained of more than a year.
As for the minimum average of candidates, it should be at least 70%, as this average rises according to specific specialties- Health Sciences and Engineering requires more than 75%, and medicine requires more than 90% .
The University has a dormitories that can accommodate more than 3,000 students. It also has a gym, swimming pools, playgrounds and restaurants.
